In the wake of 'rona, I've been taking the time to finally go through my backlog of photos and finally post some of them. This was back in the beginning of last year before this spot blew up. Made sure to post photos without any identifying signage, of which there were many. This mall really wanted you to know exactly where you were.
Long story short, this mall opened up in 1986, anchored with Gottschalks, Mervyn's, Harris, and a movie theater. It shut down in 2017 and was sold to developers that had planned on a mixed-use facility. Sadly, they defaulted on their loan payments and it fell into disrepair.
Like a lot of locations nowadays, a pair of YouTube explorers exposed this location and the place was locked down within the week their video came out, two days before I visited with my friend.
That day I learned how to climb.
