| | | Posted by TacoJosh https://www.nwitim...-92218de03860.html Damn, Gary, Indiana has ordered a lockdown. I've been planning a trip with some friends for weeks now and we had decided that tomorrow would be the day. But now, I just don't know. As much as I want to do this trip, I'm just conflicted. They're still committed to it, but I'd hate to just bail out. Any of you guys still exploring during this pandemic?
| Not really. I did some allowed exercise and walked down to the industrial area to wander but that’s it. I’m concerned that the virus is already prevalent in the homeless population where I roam and that my solitary wandering with occasional crossing of paths with a homeless person here, and a homeless person there, could result in my getting exposed. Or, even worse, that it’s not prevalent yet, and since there’s a strong chance I’m already exposed, I become source of transmission into the homeless population.

| Yea, tbh I was very concerned with having to take public transit so I could finish my final projects for the Winter Quarter. Even though train ridership had dropped significantly, I was still very cautious. Since that's over with now, I haven't gone out much except for groceries and exercise. But I'm worried that we'll run into homeless who may have been exposed to the virus or we may get stopped by the police just for being out.

| | | define panic... came down with a nasty bug early Wednesday morning. abdominal cramps, pain in my kidneys, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, fever, chills... the whole grab bag of my body trying to fight off a nasty little invader. So, as I am laying in bed, I pick up my phone and start reading about the symptoms of covid19... and start to panic. So around noon yesterday, I decide this shit has gone on for long enough and call the ER concerned... the answer they gave me was understandable but not very comforting. Unless I was having trouble breathing or chest pains, I was to stay my ass home. Today, Friday, I feel much better... but still, that panic, you know?
