My dad is probably responsible for the reason why I am so interested in exploring. When I was a little kid he would always take me everywhere, to all sorts of interesting places. I remember once when I was about ten years old, he took me with him to explore some old abandoned mines in northern ontario. Flashlights in hand, we would spelunk through the old tunnels and find interesting objects and animals, and secure the mine entrance safely again before we left.
Just yesterday I got an email from him. He had just returned from camping and hunting for a few days up north in polar bear country. He found a very old abandoned farm, and took some pictures. I'd like to share them here.

I've had moose.. I remember it being pretty good, but it was a long time ago. I believe the moose had been killed be a car. Which means that I can also say that I've eaten roadkill. Yum.

Wow, those are some pretty sweet shots from The Hitman. I'm also amused that he was hunting around Cochrane, since I just recently met someone who's from there. Seems like an unlikely place to come up so often!
On an unrelated note, I'd very much like to try moose sometime. Sounds tasty.
