Background:
I was flying back home when I spotted his old home along the river valley. Marking it on flight map, I searched Google Maps later to see if I could pin-point it better. Driving to where I thought it was, I peered through thick trees at what I thought was the home, but ended up finding a different abandoned house, which wasn't much of anything. I kept a closer watch for it on my next flight. Finding it a second time by air, I carefully plotted out exactly where it was visually, making note of all the nearby landmarks. I made another attempt at finding it. It was almost impossible to spot from the roadway. Trekking through about 3 feet of snow, I finally found the building, but my heart sank when I noticed the inside looked completely ruined. Still though, I found a great deal of beauty in the unique way this building was collapsing. I doubt it'll be standing next year.
