| | | I have a thing with deer and vehicles, but it's been a long time (the last time I hit one I think was driving a Jeep) I hit a rather large buck on my way to work last Monday at about 95 km/h. Quite impressed with how tough these things are. The only non cosmetic damage was the battery breaking apart, thus breaking the stud off of the starter solenoid, and the rad support is in 30 pieces. I figured things were bad when the car quit and wouldn't crank but it turned out to be a fairly simple fix. Oddly enough, the hood latch still works. Anyway, still driving it (with a zip tied headlight assembly and a new battery), picking up some used body panels tomorrow. I have a parts car, but unfortunately it's bright red. The frustrating thing is that I've scrapped two Jettas the same blue as this one in the past two years! Oh well. It just looks like it wants to eat a Tesla now or something.
