What has taken over the occupation of people’s minds? We covet and cleave, but only for a brief period. Hard to believe this place has only been closed a few years but is already in this state of decay. A nearby restaurant bears on its walls photographs if this track’s glory days – bright lights, smoking tires, and cheering crowds. Almost impossible to envision it now. I understand, though, that while racing has ceased, the track is still occasionally used for vehicle testing, but as the tarmac succumbs to vegetation, roaring motors will give way to birds and bees.
