Well, the post didn't go too well, but it looks like you did in fact make it.
I'd probably piss myself once I got up there, slip on it and fall to my death.

Okay that was a bit of an exaggeration but I'd be pretty freaked.

And therein, as the bard would tell us, lies the rub.

Okay first off, OGs don't wear Yeezys.

The community would take kindly to a talented explorer who also has an eye for the view, but unfortunately that position comes with a certain level of respect for what it is you're doing.

Motivation for exploring is important. I think UER tries to avoid the "do it for Instagram" scene, as user @anisha.aliyana so aptly demonstrated in a comment on your photo:

"I WANT IN ON THIS CLIMBING ACTION YO".

Of course they do, Mark, it's because you make it look easy.

It's unfortunate your attraction and apparent skill at urbex is rivaled by your thirst for fame. Either go get fall protection certification and find a contract to perform your rooftop fashion photography legally, or reconsider your motivation for UE and maybe try again.

Best,

//Sparro

It continues.

Americans pose for photo op, cause Lions Gate traffic chaos

TL;DR: Motorists crossing the Lions Gate Bridge around 8:30 am called 911, after a man with a large backpack and a headlamp was seen climbing over the railing and pulling himself up the guy-wires. High-angle rescue specialists found the men after they were seen scaling the guy-wires back to the bridge deck.

They were taken into police custody and their camera equipment was seized.

Police are now recommending charges against the two Washington state residents.

I seriously cannot fathom the unintelligence of this story.

For goodness' sakes people: If you're doing a climb as public as Lions Gate, DO IT AT NIGHT. Like not just past sunset, do it at 3:30am. That's just about the least busy hour on the bridge, and even still there will probably be cars crossing every 30 seconds.

These AMERICAN TOURISTS didn't even bother to do the climb under the cover of darkness. No, they decided to do it at 8:30am, just about the height of rush hour in the morning. This is literally the most public exploration location in Vancouver, and these guys decide to do it at the busiest time.

Thanks for burning it for the next little while guys. I hope your shitty over-lightroomed sneaker-dangling photos were worth briefly crippling Vancouver's transportation system and the inevitable hefty fine.

Brilliant!

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too!

Followup media release.

The dudes were charged with mischief. That's pretty vague but seeing as it "snarled" traffic for several hours, I'd guess that their crime garnered them a hefty fine.

ONCE AGAIN: ONLY EVER DO LIONS GATE AT NIGHT.

Okay but wait, this is my favourite part:

Mischief is a bit more hardcore than people think, they're looking at prison time if the judge is having a bad day:

I was expecting it, I am sure we all were. But it doesnt make it easier to swallow the pill.

Drove on the Lions Gate bridge for the first time in a very long time today.... Those F@€<ing mindless Trump supporters adventure got those access points blocked on both towers.

Theres brand new mesh guards preventing access up the cross members.
