It's been a while since I posted anything, got myself a new job and started using my precious free time more sparingly. I've still been exploring but post processing and updating my website became low priority. Now the busy times are over at work so I'm going to try and catch up!
I found this building in Belgium by accident while traveling between locations. It's things like this that still give me the greatest kick; not knowing how to get in and what to expect. I fought my way through thick blackberry bushes from building to building, telling me that not many people have ventured there before.
While looking for a way in, a sign on the road side façade sparked my interest. It read that the school was used as a prison by the German Feldgendarmerie in World War 2. Hundreds of people were locked up in the basements before being deported to camps in Germany. We found several murals written in German proving the story to be true, although the actual basements were locked up pretty good. Probably for the better as the rest of the school had suffered some vandalism throughout the years.
