Headed down to The Deere plant in Dain City. After a detour to scope out a possible place we got back on track to our first stop of the day. After sorting out our parking and making our way towards the property we decided to cut through some tallish grass as we made our way in. After awhile of walking around inside, Archer asked me if I knew what Ticks looked like. I do and had happened to discover one on my dog after a recent trip north which had only just started to feed and was removed quickly. He thought he may have flicked one off of him but wasn't sure if it was a Tick. Upon leaving, driving along I checked my phone to check some directions and lo and behold there's a fucking Tick on it. After showing it to Archer it was promptly flicked out the window. As we arrived at the pub for some beers and grub I felt an itch on my arm to which my finger met, you guessed it, another fucking Tick. No bite received by either of us and these were Dog Ticks and not known to carry Lyme.

After spending awhile shooting the mostly stripped out plant we headed out for one other familiar place to get some more shots in. Once again getting to catch the fading light in this place was fantastic, having that west sun is perfect.

Enough blabber, check yourselves for Ticks and on to the shots!

Cheers,
Zen

Beautiful set, bro. The amber lighting you've captured behind the glassware is exquisite.

Any exploring you do in Niagara this time of year, you're almost guaranteed to get ticks. I even stopped the other day at the old ruin right at the entrance to the Can-view Drive-in while the Allanburg bridge was up and had three on my legs in a matter of walking twenty feet into the field.

You're right though.... no bites. Dog ticks seems to wander around the body for a good 12 hours before attempting to dig in. They often 'nip' a tiny piece of skin just to hold on, and people almost always consider that being bitten, much to Regional Health's chagrin. But when you're actually bitten-bitten, there's no doubting it!!!!! They're practically doing a hand-stand.

First off, wonderful pictures. Great set.

Second, fuck ticks. I've had two previous girlfriends with Lyme Disease and it is no joke. So I'm definitely wary of ticks. Best thing you can do is carry a tick key with you at all times. Lightweight, takes up no room, costs nothing.
