Cool, Matt. It seemed in SP they had the cammo outfits. We spent most of the time around El Progresso. Looks like they really like photos down there

My photo was taken just outside La Esperanza, the police were hosting a neighborhood party to try to bond with the local community. There is a LOT of police corruption down there.
Most of my time has been spent in the mountains and jungles, about a six hour drive from San Pedro, then a (brutal) four to six hour hike. I guess it could qualify as rural exploration.
Glad to hear that you were on the mainland, a lot of people just visit the island and miss a lot. There is a Chinese restaurant in Progreso, I can never talk anyone else into trying with me. :(
One time I saw a truck that was full of people in black fatigues including full face masks, I lifted my camera to take a picture but one of the locals that was with us suggested against it. Turns out the group was not cops, just the opposite. I stopped taking pictures of people with guns at that point. lol
