Posted by Court This structure is on a rock beach. I'm not quite sure what it is? Looks kinda like a chapel.

I have found out that this structure is the teahouse for a local mansion. It was built in the 1890s and was a playhouse for the family's children. (Can you imagine a play house with two working kitchens and fireplace?!)
This teahouse was destroyed by a fire in 1901.
On a side note, the mansion is owned by the Diocese and is used as a wedding venue. They also have a boarded up stone carriage house, massive water tower, and what used to be a religious school on the grounds. I would absolutely LOVE to explore these unused parts of the property.
I wonder if I called them up and said I was a freelance photographer, they would let me explore? Anyone have any success with this kind of request for exploration?
