After over a month of not having time for exploring, I was able to get together with a friend yesterday and we hit five different places in southeast Ohio. We planned to stop at two abandoned houses and stumbled upon a third. Then we made a revisit to a long-abandoned school that now sits in ruins. Finally, we stopped in a former coal mining town where we had planned to take exterior shots around the town but were unexpectedly allowed into an old theater.
1. Our first stop was this abandoned house. It was reportedly built in the late 1700s but I'm not sure how accurate that information is. I also heard from the same source that the house is in danger of demolition.

Residents keep them all locked up in hopes of restoration in the future. Knowing this, we expected to just walk around the town and take exterior photos of the old architecture.

28. As we were walking around, we were approached by a young man holding a set of keys. He asked us if we would like to see the inside of the theater and of course we accepted. The theater was built in 1907 and has been unused since the 1960s or 70s. The first floor has already been renovated and owner is looking for funding to renovate the theater, which is on the second floor.
