| | | Photo heavy, but I've been damn housebound for 3 months; I have been desperate to get out, and thankfully I was rewarded this morning with a glorious house caught between the 1970s, 1980s and maybe the 1990s. Please let me know what you think... I have missed your comments greatly. A New Season by Ground State Photos, on Flickr This house has been locked tight but on the exploring radar for over 3 years. I recently made a night-stop here coming home from physiotherapy and magically the doors were open. And there's no better opportunity for an unseen approach to a sensitive location than dawn after New Years. I think today ranks right up there with Christmas as the very best exploring days of the year. With 3 layers on for the cold, and an egg McMuffin to combat the still-spinning head, I finally got to see inside this beauty and discovered a home full of 70s furniture, but with subtle little signs that the 80s and 90s passed here too. I thought it was well worth the wait, and hope you do too! Elderly Care by Ground State Photos, on Flickr The Orange Room by Ground State Photos, on Flickr Dresser Lockbox by Ground State Photos, on Flickr There were spongy floors in this next room (my nemesis) and little bits of vermiculite falling from the ceiling. With a flooded basement underneath, I was getting a bit ansy taking this shot! Godliness of the Well Read by Ground State Photos, on Flickr To Blame For Past Defeats by Ground State Photos, on Flickr The above photo is a nod to DrunkenMunky420, who has been turning this handle and pushing on this back door off and on for 3 straight years, wondering what was keeping it from opening. Little did we know, there was a bracket with screws drilled right into the frame. Time Warp by Ground State Photos, on Flickr Late in Life by Ground State Photos, on Flickr A Portrait Fallen by Ground State Photos, on Flickr Archived Memories by Ground State Photos, on Flickr Sanctified by Ground State Photos, on Flickr More Than Words by Ground State Photos, on Flickr Rummaged Kitchen by Ground State Photos, on Flickr At Peace With Time by Ground State Photos, on Flickr A Widow's Wistfulness by Ground State Photos, on Flickr Lasting Signs by Ground State Photos, on Flickr Red and Yellow by Ground State Photos, on Flickr Convenient Choices by Ground State Photos, on Flickr I think this next shot really takes the place through time, as there was a telephone banking ad there on the left side of the drawer. As a challenge, see if you can find any other signs of the 90s (or even later???) in this gallery. Through the Decades by Ground State Photos, on Flickr Afternoon Tea in Eternity by Ground State Photos, on Flickr This location has a lot of future discovery potential. It looks like it is well-rummaged through, but it isn't a all. And it must have been teenagers and not family, as key locations like a jewelry dresser drawer and a back room full of boxes of stored items, were all left untouched. As always, if you're reading this, location coordinates are always available upon request. If you're planning a Niagara explore, put this one on your list!
