| | | So this is the first time ill post photos this this forum. I must start by saying I am a terrible photographer but I am very inspired seeing some of the other photos that are shared on here. Exploring recently and in the past I just took a few shots as a reminder of now demolished sites and exciting experiences. Cant wait to start working on photography skill and other methods of sharing. This was used as a nurses quarters built in 1924 on top a cemetery from 1840, graves were neglected to be moved. Later redeveloped into a rehabilitation center for drug abuse surfaced human bones were discovered by workers. Seeing this place as a kid I could never build up the courage to enter, now living back in my home city in my mid 20's I love history and the thrill of a scare. Any other first timers feel free to share. by John Doe, on Flickr by John Doe, on Flickr by John Doe, on Flickr by John Doe, on Flickr by John Doe, on Flickr by John Doe, on Flickr by John Doe, on Flickr

Going alone reduces the risk; you are less visible and more stealthy. It also teaches you self reliance, an important skill that you only learn one way... by doing.
| I'd agree with that to a certain extent, unless you run into hostile squatters, or fall through a rotted floor or staircase, or get stuck in a tight space or something like that. A friend can lower a rope, or go for help, or watch your back, or God forbid, fight alongside you. There are plenty of hazards I can think of that a second person could help to mitigate.
| If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find him, maybe you can hire... Tunnelrunner33! |
