After all of my plans fell through this Sunday I decided to make the drive and explore this place by myself. I knew there was onsite security and that it was BIG, but not much else. It was a gamble, and one that I think paid off. This place was all that I'd hoped for and more - huge, still full of cool stuff and absolutely untouched by vandalism - like not even a single smashed window or graffiti cock anywhere.
Unfortunately after getting inside it became quickly apparent that I was unprepared for the highly contaminated environment. While the extensive warehouse areas are quite clean, the production area is totally disgusting, with mounds of pigeon shit, tanks of chemicals and sketchy looking dust / powders everywhere. Knowing the circumstances under which this place was closed, and what was produced here, none of it was likely very healthy, and I instantly regretted not bringing my mask.
Being alone and not wanting to spend too much time inside, I only took a handful of documentary type photos, vowing to return with a respirator and more time to explore and maybe get creative. With that in mind, here's a sneak peak from Factory Nowhere...be sure to check back soon for updates. For the full set and more be sure to check out
