I recently visited the abandoned town of Two Guns, Arizona. It's an amazing place with the ruins of many stone buildings, though it has a dark history and many people believe it is cursed.

The curse is believed to have begun in the late 1800s, after a group of Apache warriors met a gruesome end in a hidden cave on the land. Navajo warriors, seeking retribution for brutal raids on their nearby settlements, tracked the Apache to the cave where they were hiding out. The Navajo lit a fire outside the cave entrance. Some of the Apache attempted to flee the cave and were immediately shot dead by the Navajo. The others remained inside and asphyxiated.

Later the town of Two Guns was built there. Over the years, Two Guns was the site of murders, devastating fires, and economic ruin.

Below are some pictures of what remains of Two Guns, as well as Apache Death Cave, and the abandoned KOA campground on the adjacent lot.

Nice location!

Also, I would give my left arm for a high res pano of the graffiti pool in pic 13.

WHAT??? A town named Two Guns is the site of MURDERS???

Great set. Always liked the wooden door frame framed by rock.

Great spot.
Two Guns wasn't ever really a town tho, It was a ranch for a while and then it was turned into a type of amusement park/zoo.

The Native Americans that died in the cave down in the canyon were supposedly killed by US Soldiers from an outpost in the area, or ranchers running cattle depending on who you hear the story from. When the first iteration of the zoo/amusement park opened the owner used the cave and some bones he found as an attraction.

Over the course of it's life this property has gone thru many peoples hands. No one has been able to keep it open for a number of reasons. After the killing in the cave there was a large livestock die off in the area. Investors went bankrupt , got sick, or had "weird" things happen to them or their families on the property.

I was talking to a guy about the ranch during my Rt66 trip last year, he said the guy who ran the gas station lived in the trailer on the property literally just got up and left one night. No note, no clear reason. poof, gone. Since then it's been empty.

My buddy and I went by here yesterday, though didn't get nearly that close to the cave entrance. We started walking towards it and it started to rain and lightning struck very close to us, we took that as a hint to leave

Very cool place though.
