| | | A whole month with no explores makes mookster a fed up boy. It's about time I got out again, and it's fair to say this was a cracker. Nestled in a small village in deepest darkest England sits the tumbledown remains of a once grand rectory for the nearby church, which served it's later life as a care home until it closed sometime around 1995 going by the various dates inside. Since then it has sat quietly festering, collapsing and getting more and more gorgeously decayed as the years passed. With next to no 'real' vandalism it is a gloriously undisturbed example of what happens when nature is left to run riot over a building. Apparently the owner of the building lives in a cottage opposite, which looks derelict itself with a selection of cars all covered in moss and algae on the driveway. I explored this place twice, kind of - I first did a whole sweep with my wide angle and then went around the entire building again with my 30mm prime lens to give a different take on the place, those shots will be at the end of the post. 1
