Weird Camera Effects? < on 5/21/2015 2:26 AM > | Reply with Quote
My old camera I used to take these photos had the unusual effect of bending the dimensions of photos unless it was 100% not moving. Makes for a kinda neat (if not vertigo inducing) shot, but does anyone know why that is?

Woah, imagine taking some rooftop shots with that. Hopefully someone with more knowledge can answer this. Maybe some damage or other distortion to the shape of the lens?

I actually think that you could do some pretty cool stuff with the distortion. Imagine lightpainting, or, like Descent said, rooftopping. You could come up with some pretty interesting effects.

If I understand your message correctly, you were moving the camera when you took these photos, donc, If you were panning when taking the shot it would be rolling shutter.

I love the sound it makes slamming into the camera everytime. Though more moving parts makes me worry about longevity.
