A couple of weeks ago I made a road trip to explore this abandoned high school. It was originally constructed as a school in the early 1900s and it functioned as such until the late 1970s. It served as a homeless shelter until 2004 when an Art Institute purchased it. It was finally abandoned entirely in 2006 for some reason... It currently sits vacant with no foreseeable plans in the near future.

We came across the auditorium after crawling over a bunch of garbage once we gained access...

Since it was used by an art institute, there was a bunch of random art all throughout the building (this is in the Auditorium looking back towards our entrance)

After we explored for around two hours it started to get dark so we decided to get out. Has anyone else been here? This was by far one of the best explores I've had simply because a high school has always been on my bucket list.
