Posted by Weirdlig What a unique discovery, a great payoff for your years of searching. Excellent photos by the way as well, very pleasant compositions and style. Your photography is surprisingly good for someone using photobucket lol.
A pleasant style. I like That! Thanks Much!
Sorry, photo bucket isn't my first choice either. Kind of stuck there, unless you know of a good way to move 3000 pics. If you can help with that...please let me know

It's an amazing discovery and I'd love to have something like this made for a summer cottage. It's really quite sad that the artist never managed to finish it! I'm also definitely going to ignore that part about vandals

Thoroughly disappointing what unappreciative assholes can do to a location. And especially in a place like this where the entire property is a work of art. They might as well have destroyed a framed original painting.

What an incredible location! It is a shame with that last sentence, so I too, will pretend that I did not read that.
Your photography and editing are wonderful, Misunderstood. Keep it up. As for my favourite photo, it was glowy #10; my creative mind tells me it's a glass object rolling out of the assembly line.

Well said Ground State. Some people can look at this and wonder what the big deal is. This man worked his whole life building something quite remarkable with his own hands and in his own way with no help...other than the occasional bottle giver... thank you!

Thanks to a helpful hint (you know who you are and how much I appreciate it ) I was able to find this place. I have to say that of all the places I have been this is the most amazing I have seen. Even with the destruction and defacement done, it was almost like standing in a European cathedral. The sense of calm, peace and reverence that this area holds cannot be put into words. I am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to have visited this incredible place and wish I could have met the original owner.
I did meet the current owner and she is not pleased with the attention this location has garnered over the last couple of years. Kids have vandalized her Uncle's work and she has 911 on speed dial. Only by the grace of God, my expensive car (she knew I wasn't some kid) and the kindness of this gentle woman did I not spend the afternoon in jail. This place is under constant surveillance and getting in unnoticed is not easy.

Every time i see pics of this place i can't believe all the destruction that has taken place due to the idiot kids that have had no respect for what this man made with his bare hands, sweat, and tears. Loved how you described it. How it has a sense of peace and reverence. Kind of how i felt when i got to visit there for the first time. Im glad you found it and enjoyed seeing it despite the blood thirsty mosquitoes and the little trek back in the woods, lol. Most happy that the lady owner of the property had mercy on you Enjoyed your pics very much! You got some good captures Mr. P. Ulcer.

Hey! Wow! I haven't seen this thread in a year and a half. Glad you enjoyed it and thought enough of it to bring it back around Yes, it is such a shame that this place is slowly being more vandalized. Punchy just posted a thread on some cool bottle houses out his direction for anyone who might be interested....please go here: http://www.uer.ca/...=1&threadid=122722
