Great plant overgrowth AND abandoned vehicles! This is some life after people stuff right here! Would love to explore that place, absolutely worth the effort and risk.

These are incredible. All the photos look so lush... not just the vegetation specifically, but the colors and textures selected. Really beautiful work.

The fact that it is such a hassle is that it's relatively close to a house of the royal family, and the whacky caretakers (man+wife) feel like it's their responsibility to guard them. I had a talk with the man during one of the failed attempts to get in, and he said that they're on the watch for terrorist. Complete bullshit, as the house is still about two kilometers away, and what the hell could a terrorist do in an abandoned zoo? Still they call the police every time.
It took me four attempts to get in, three times I was caught before even entering. I was on speaking terms with the caretaker but a friend of mine was less fortunate a few years ago. He was literally chased with an axe until the police came, and then he got a criminal complaint.

Amazing that the old couple guard this zoo from terrorist. Oh, how funny! Like you said, What would terrorist want with an overgrown zoo? I am glad you were finally able to access it and get these lovely photos of nature at its best. Awesome!
