Abandoned Dinner Show < on 9/3/2014 12:53 PM > | Reply with Quote
I’ve been out of the exploring game for a while now. I finally had a free weekend and a couple of people to go with so I got out. We went to a couple of places, with this one being the first. This place, an abandoned dinner show, has recently been receiving increased traffic because of someone posting a YouTube video about it. It closed down in December 2013 and there were a couple of pieces written about it in the Orlando Sentinel. It is weird to think that a couple of miles down the road, a similar place is thriving. I mean, Disney will conquer all smaller attractions in Kissimmee, but a similar place is doing so much better.
It is fairly clean, power and water are on, but it is just hot as all hell. It is a fairly big complex and even had a set of stables outside because their dinner show involved horses. I enjoyed this place because I remember taking a field trip here as a kid with my elementary school. Anyways, enjoy. I’ll be posting another set up soon.

Posted by btpp Nice pictures! I really want to go there soon mostly because there is still power and it is only going to be in good condition for so long.
Just watch out for the hotel security. They patrol the area.

Didn't even know this place closed down until I saw the ATW video. I was here once with my family when I was a kid and I distinctly remember that lobby room in the last pic. They would have a pre-show there with a bellydancer and guys in those "slinky suits." For some reason I cant remember anything about the actual show though. Hopefully I can check this place out soon before its condition deteriorates, I'm only a half hour away.

All locations are easily accessible, blown out, demo'd, or have been repurposed. Same with this location. Also, if anybody looked hard enough, they'd be able to find anything, including the location of the Mt. Dora bunker.
I try to rep Flurbex, spread the word about UE in the Sunshine State. I'm in no way the purveyor of Flurbex, but I'm trying to guide Florida explorers to it.

yea i guess youre right.. but just because someone can find something on their own doesnt mean to just broadcast the name..in this example, i cant see why anyone should list the name of arabian nights though... i havent looked but i assume adam the woo also listed the name.

Adam listed it and mentioned it multiple times and the logo was seen across the entire video.
No problem!

Post by nomeus also im out of the loop on a lot of stuff these days...
No way man, impossible. Say it aint so. All the awesome videos, the website, the books, the interviews, Disneyland, and all the other cool shit you seen? No way. If you are truly feeling that way than you need to travel, seriously. Get out of state and leave Florida to the Floridiots. Travel, so much to see and so little time left. More buildings are gone every day.

So I was talking with Adam The Woo about this place and he said that it is usually sealed tight with security and the facility is sometimes rented out for certain events. The owner of the building is now threatening him with legal action...

It did hold special events, the last event being one during gay days. As far as security goes, there is someone that patrols the property quite regularly. As far as Adam the Woo legal trouble goes, post pics or it didn't happen.
