After a trip to Beelitz in the afternoon, myself and Pincheck decided to head for the German borders, way up in the mountains for our next venture. Arriving in the dead of night to a sleepy little mountain village was a rather surreal experience. We were hoping that the place would be worth it.
Following the sat nav, we had one of those moments where you really need common sense to prevail over the logic of google. Lets just say i'm glad that Hertz gave us a 4x4
. I followed Google as much as I dared, down some snowy single tracks over sheet ice and through the fallen trees..... it was fun . Well anyways when common sense took over, we pitched back into the village before abandoning the exploremobile to head off for this.....
A rather pretty sight I thought. The temperatures were way below freezing so a quick entry was needed, something which thankfully occurred. After a snooze in the attic as it was the least draughty room in the place .... we set about breaking out the cameras.
Sadly the interior didnt quite match up to the fabulous exterior, with too many shots only able to consist of corridors, lonely chairs or doors.... but towards the end - we did come accoss a few lil gems inside the basement levels.
Enough babbling and on with the pics....
