My (Not-So) Grand Debut

First of, I was hoping this first post would be a lot cooler than it actually will be. In my mind, I was going to enter the world of urbex with some flashy pictures from the Phoenix Trotting Park. Unfortunately, that dream was never realized as I was promptly removed from the premises within 15 minutes of arriving. Out of potential sites, I was wondering if any AZ vets wanted to do a little urbex with a newbie. I've read over "Access All Areas", but that's about the extent of my experience besides doing a little exploration of a gravel sorting plant back in my younger days. Anyways, I'd love to explore the hidden world with you guys!

Google Earth. There are a dozen places in the Phoenix area I have marked to check, and I live 600 miles away.

Welcome and good luck.

I have changed my personal exploring ethics code. From now on it will be: "Take only aimed shots, leave only hobo corpses." Copper scrappers, meth heads and homeless beware. The Jonsered cometh among you, bringing fear and dread.

I like Jonsered's comment, you'll definitely have to put in some work to find places sometimes! My biggest tip is just to keep your eyes peeled whenever you're driving! I've found a ton of awesome sites completely randomly, just by always scanning the horizon when I'm out and about!

Again welcome and good luck!

Mines are always a good place to check out, and we have lots of those in AZ and now is the perfect time of year.

Welcome. You just got to a find a way to make hours of prework fun. Reward finds becomes more worth it too
I'll always drool over the asylums and taller buildings of other regions, but I've been finding plenty to keep me busy around town.
