| | Iraqi Buildings, tower and prison < on 6/30/2013 3:36 AM >
| | | these are from 2008. Nothing really OPSEC here as we gave the bases up sometime around 2011. I totally forgot about these until now. I have a ton of them but these pertain the most. My first UE stuff was in these buildings when we were bored. I remember going in with a buddy under the base one time, in catacombs, and then another time 3 of us did a night ops INTO the jail with night vision and everything lol. ....that was kinda freaky. The jail was inhabitable for many reasons. There was a rumor that the paint wouldn't stick right from the blood in some areas. We later went back the the daytime and i got these pics of the insides. The building that got annihilated is referred to as the "JDAM Building", for good reason...it took 2 of them I think. we still used it for some of the air wing sleeping quarters and underground storage lol. some of these might be Kuwait...the ones with NOTHING but sand that is. enjoy. this is just with a point and shoot Cannon. 1

| | | Wow, indeed. Very unusual setting. Fantastically barren (I feel thirsty just looking at these photos). Some really neat shots, too (mosque, 3 palms framed - no numbers to refer to).

| | | oops I forgot numbers. I will modify that. that one barren picture was Kuwait....NOTHINGville. Baghdad was very much a full city. the mosque was in North Iraq. it was still in use for the Terps and locals at times. we were not allowed inside (obviously)
