| | And How We Found The Exit < on 5/4/2013 5:46 AM >
| | | It rained hard that day but I decided to go out even still. Its been too long since I was out to shoot anyway. A favorite set of old mills that was not too far a drive and a meet up with old friends. We worked our way into new sections as yet unseen and exhausted ourselves exploring the entire complex. This place seems to be a never ending wellspring of material to photograph, every time I return I find new rooms, new levels, new experiences, and just a ton of goddamn cool shit to see. A tragic episode of history happened here and people died, the company took the insurance money and ran leaving the city holding the property. Leaving us a wonderland.

Yeah, I did find new stuff. We spent 6 hours nonstop exploring this place. I love #10 Once-ler. These are all great shots from a great day!

| | | Super stuff! I was trying to make out what kind of animal that skeleton was...looks like it had white fur...? Either way, I loved the peeling paint. Good job!

| | | Thank you everyone so much. So glad to see people were amused by my crooked out of focus attempts at photography. Explicitly has done much work getting into new areas and has shot this set of mills better than anyone so far.

Thanks Auto, so funny you mentioned #19 I was actually thinking of you when I shot that. As far as the skeleton, Explicitly tried to sell us the explanation that it was that of a pigeon. I however find that impossible to believe as it was by all pictures clearly enormous. I have placed my lens cap in the left of the picture for scale of reference and by my estimates measure it nearly five and one half feet long from tip to tail. Clearly this was nothing less than the remains of some wayward ostrich.
