| | Columbia, SC Drains < on 4/1/2013 3:45 PM >
| | | This first set is from the drains underneath the 5 points area of Columbia. The drain appears to be in fairly good condition for its age. It use to be made of wood and then was covered by concrete. You can still make out where the boards were and see the grain of the wood.
1. We went in the center entrance since it is tall enough to stand up in.
2. Getting ready to go into the dark.
3. First look inside.
4. On the ceiling and walls you can see where the drain used to be made out of wood.
5. Me and Lord Nikon
This next set is from the drains under the vista in Columbia, SC. This was my first solo drain. Some sections are still made of brick (as you can see in several of the photos).
1. Entrance
2. View looking up at one of the manholes.
3. This is the newest section of the drain.
4. This appeared to be an entrance with a metal door at the top. Not sure what it is used for.
5. This is where the newer section meets the older section. Only about a 4 foot drop so its easy to get around without getting wet.
6.
7. This is near the exit and appears to be the oldest section of the drain. Can anyone shed some light on what the triangle at the top of the arch means?
8. Exit
9. Here is the exit from the outside.
The water level never got more than about 10 inches.

| | | Something tells me the drain was never wooden, prob marks from the forms they used pouring the concrete. Def. a nice drain though! Also the triangle is probably a mark the stonemason put there, its kind of a typical practice of the freemasons and others to put a mark on the keystone of an arch or the cornerstone of a bldg. | | | It's one part of a sacred relic known as the Triforce. These golden sacred triangles were left behind by the three Golden Goddesses — Din, the Goddess of Power; Nayru, the Goddess of Wisdom; and Farore, the Goddess of Courage — after the creation of the land of Hyrule. It was formed at the point where they ascended to the heavens, in a different dimension connected to Hyrule called the Sacred Realm, which would later be referred to as the "Golden Land." The Triforce consists of three separate sacred golden triangles: the Triforce of Power (top), the Triforce of Wisdom (left), and the Triforce of Courage (right). This means you're on the right path to find one of the pieces, but remember, "It's dangerous to go alone, take this." ]XXX[::::::::::::>

At least that's what it looks like.
