By that time, most people have already traded it off, and the car is likely on its third owner. Perhaps, cars are more reliable than they have ever been, now that most things just work for a long time.
| I have to agree, EFI and OBDII have made it pretty rare to be left on the side of the road due to a no start, at least for me, ive been left high and dry twice, both times because of a fuel pump. but no starts due to other stuff, no. I remember as a kid with carbuerators and points, they may have been simple but its not normal for a 10 year old kid to know his dads mechanic by name and get a Christmas present from him!! (and no he wasnt family)
