| | What'd this place used to be?! < on 12/4/2012 3:49 PM >
| | | Hey guys. I found this place the other day. I was out riding around in Cornelius, NC. I went up Torrence Chappel Road and found it. I have no idea what it used to be. There's no sign out front, on the building or in the yard. I didn't catch a photo of the front, but here's some pics I took.

| | | Not to be a jerk, but from the evidence here it's an.... oversized bathroom? There is nowhere near enough info to help answer that.... Go back and maybe go in there, and get a shot of the front, that would help alot man. Hopefully you're able to do that and someone can help you answer your question. Keep on keepin on.

| | | Yeah, sorry about that you guys. I meant to get one of the front of the building, but by the time I realized that I didn't have a shot of the front, I was already heading home. I'll go back in a day or two and get a shot of the front. And if it was a house, it was the weirdest house I've ever seen. I mean, why would a house have two bathrooms that were both in the back of the structure, on opposite sides from each other, and have exterior doors?! I was thinking it may have been a gas station or something, but there's nothing out front to suggest that it was a gas station. But you guys will see when I post the pics from my next trip up there.

| | | Yeah that sounds like a good idea. I mean make sure its something relevant too, I noticed theres random shots of the roof and blank plywood. I'm curious as to what it is, but if u keep takin shots of cinderblocks and pieces of plywood, I'm gonna lose interest. Best thing you could do is climb in there, at least then maybe you'd have something interesting about this place to shoot. Hell maybe you'll find some paperwork or something and answer ur own question. When u have no idea what the place is and find out on ur own by actually doin the work, those are the most satisfying explores. Hopefully you'll come up with something soon.

| | | I'll try to get in there. The only reason I stopped and took pics in the first place was because it was the only structure on a fairly large plot of land with no outside clues of what it used to be, and there was a subdivision across the street. And I thought that was a cool juxtaposition. And I really didn't choose the title of this thread because I necessarily wanted the question answered. It was more of a rhetorical thing.

"Merry Christmas! Shitter was full!" Love that movie... Anywho... Setting was in a large field, you say? My vote goes for a concession stand/restroom facility for a ball field... #7 looks like a serving/counter window opening. Thoughts?

| | | Hmm, same antenna and same brand of plywood as the Govt Barn of Doom in Colorado. These are popping up more and more. Thinking gov letter agency.

Wow, you're right... This might be the top floor of Hive 7. Be on the lookout for Umbrella Corp security forces... They're everywhere.
