| | | Good photos of a classic local location. No offense, I know you're an uber keen explorer, but it does seem kinda weird how you start new posts where others have already posted photos, or there is a not too old thread, on the same place. Twice now with the same person. I know there's a lot of FRESH interest on here, but doing a search or even scrolling back a bit; it would seem a lot cooler to give a nod to those who have been before. Meaning add to their thread or photo, instead of seemingly trying to pass it off as your discovery with a new thread. And of course that also means giving credit to the guy with the funny Medieval tin ball cap who posted the link to the much older info in the database. And especially credit to that older explore Lopix. I'm big on giving credit to the person who earned it. Here's an example where what I'm saying got out of hand. Good to see he's now a laughing stock with the people who know what's what. Happy Trails to all. TLDR: Why didn't you just add to the existing recent thread on this location? http://www.uer.ca/...=1&threadid=100618

Sorry, I really should have spent more time searching and added to an existing thread. I do find it hard to do on here because most of the thread topics are not explicitly obvious (for reasons that are also obvious). I was in no means attempting to pass this off as an original "find" - it's quite publicly known location. I just wanted to share some fresh pics Can a mod add these pics to an existing thread? That would be totally cool with me. -Andrew

| | | I shouldn't have gone on and on about it. IMO your work totally warrants it's own thread. If in your shoes I would have just made a comment about the other thread, or about the locations past on UER, then added to it or made my own. If I were you, I'd just keep your new thread. Cheers, A.

No problem man, a little constructive critism is always a good thing. Plus, have to learn the community right? Can you give me the link for the other url? I'll add it to my original post

| | | when i was a kid there was no fence around it and it had all the framing and wooden beams and trusses in place still, and close by was a bunch of construction vehicles that looked like they were from the 50s, all grown over with weeds, i hate what this place looks like now =(

Holy cow, that's a lot of pictures. You/your friend got a lot closer to that edge than I did... Only way I would get that close would be with climbing gear. I'm freaked out by heights when not tied in. Annnd I wanted to ad, thanks for the recognition. Its not a massive deal but like mentioned above its kinda common courtesy. It also cuts down on memory/clutter/unnecessary crap on the forum. Its a pain in the ass for the members and especially mods when there's like 5 topics on the same place.
