| | | I have two great moments of seeing wildlife while urbexing, the first is in a blown out rose window of a church, there was a racoon leaning out looking at me curiously, I wish I got my camera up in time, but I was just frozen. The other time was a golden eagle perched ontop of a spire, it was a siloette in the sun. What animals have you seen UEing? bonus for pictures.

| | | It was this past summer up in Northern Ontario, walking back from an abandoned pit mine...when I saw it...the elusive Timiskaming Moose, this deadly predator of the north has a venomous bite, and razor sharp antlers. It saw me, and before I could take a photo it charged, so I had to run, I managed to throw myself into a ditch. Thankfully the Timiskaming Moose has poor eye sight and didn't see me, and I was able to get away safely.

| | | There's not much wildlife where I live, though I have seen the occasional deer, as well as tons of stray cats. The one story that sticks in my head is when we entered an abandoned mental hospital in the dead of winter, scaring a bird. The bird leapt off its perch, flew past us, and just as it reached the bars like the ones pictured here it tucked its wings and cannonballed through, resuming flight outside. I was really impressed with the maneuvre, and got to see it repeated a few minutes later with another bird.

| | | I didn't get a photo but when I went to a certain ever so popular and vandalized TB Hospital in Maryland, it was pretty late at night and we were walking the train tracks and I saw something move a few feet in front of me. (it was pretty foggy) Flipped the hell out and grabbed my light and shined it, ended up being a whole family of deer. They just stood there looking at us. I was also confronted by a rather large while climbing out of a window at an abandonment, turned out to be some guys dog he didn't keep on a leash. He called it back over to him. Not really wild life but scared the shit out of me.. [last edit 4/6/2012 5:38 PM by vividdecay - edited 1 times]

| | | Been there many times. They still have that Mexican restaurant/buffet at the old hotel on base? But for my "wildlife" experience, besides a few rattlesnakes and coyotes, this one was the funniest. I didn't know this was down in this basement until I uploaded the photos that evening.

Can shoot a doe during special draw either sex hunts. I believe they are typically for youth hunters. I only know because I participated in one when I was a kid in the San Bernardino National Forest. [last edit 4/6/2012 10:07 PM by Joel - edited 1 times]
