| | Regal Hotel (Better at Night or Day?) < on 3/2/2011 9:58 PM >
| | | Hey I'm about to make my first visit to the Regal Hotel, just wondering when a better time to go is and which time would be less suspicious. Any help for times/entrance locations would be much appreciated. Thanks!

| | | on the western side inside the fence there is either a white van or a black car, knock on the window and the sleepy man inside will be happy to help you.
Sorry, what was that you were saying about forever alone? |

I don't think that you can put a building in prison.

|
they never saw me and they never entered the building while I was there for many hours. if you go the way I went, they won't see you. message me for specifics if you need 'em.

| | | Wednesday and Thursday nights are the best time to go. the main Security guard is off those 2 nights. The part time guy who works wednesday and Thursday nights hates the boss, so he usually goes to the rippers down the street. What a silly goose.
They say "you can't judge a book by its cover!" I say "YES you can, if the cover has a girl on it with a cock in her mouth, its PORN!" if she's 18 and the cock is black, its GREAT porn! |

| | | (Quoting) I was one of the two original partners who created The Constellation in 1961. The other partner was the late Ben Dunkelman of Canadian and Israeli Army fame, and once president of Tip Top Tailors, another interesting business of past lore... The comments about haphazard design are valid but then one should remember that the hotel grew from an original 120 rooms to 800 through many stages and different owners. I was touched by the good memories of some of the former guests that appeared here, and by the pastry chef who apprenticed there. There were many lives touched by the Constellation in a positive way. In its hay day from 1961 to 1974 it was a major player on the Toronto gastronomical scene (Burgundy Room) and the host to many celebrities such as Pearson, Trudeau, Diefenbaker,The Archbishop of Canterbury, The Detroit Red Wings, etc etc. While it is said that SARS killed it at the end, it perhaps grew too large; such was also the fate of the dinosaurs... I hope to be still around when something worthwhile replaces it. Whatever it will be perhaps they can find a corner to remind people of the colourful past of that place.

| | | Ok, I was in the area yesterday (At the Sheraton for a Vendor show) and decided to check out the Regal. I wandered over and saw the Regal. Getting in was not an issue, nor did I have any issues with spectators. When I got to the Carlingview side, I noticed the Security truck. I walked right up and it was empty. a while later I saw the guy come out of the Spearmint Rhino across the street (apparently they have a good lunch special.....) I was feeling facetious, so I told the guy I was a day Hooker looking for a good sales office.... But when we started to get into hourly rates, I figured I should probably cut the bull before I ended up with an Indecent Proposal.... He said he was fine with exploring, just didn't want anyone to get hurt or 'damage' anything.....ummm...the building is mid-demo and you don't want people to destroy anything? Priorities man.... Any who, I'll be back again soon - without high heels so I can get gritty (not with the security guard...yuck...) Sorry for the terrible photos - it's my cellphone. Doorknob here forgot her camera! 1. Demo in Progress!

Are you trying to say the security guard said he was okay with you exploring regal? He has the job he does for a reason, I highly doubt he okay'd that....

I think every situation is treated differently. a girl in a suit with no tools is probably less likely to damage the building and more likely to just take photos.
