Chrysler holds the market in both the US (50%) and Canada (70%) in Minivan ownership. Why kill the product that created the market?

chrysler holds the market because many other companies dumped their minivans to produce better things.
it should also be noted that Chrysler sold many way below list price. which is good in my eyes as the more you see on the road the more likely others are to perceive them as good vehicles.

They dumped them because they all could not compete with the legendary Caravan

Skellys right. No one knows how to make a cheap, good mpg people mover anymore. Caravans fill a perfect void.

They were never super tight in fit and finish and surely not well assembled... but for the price, and the job they were designed to do, they are a total win

The best thing to ever come out of Windsor, is named after Windsor

^ I'm guessing you mean salt. The second gen Caravans/Voyagers actually weren't too bad. The others I can't see having much good. It's amazing the depreciation they have after only a few years. Buying price is good when new. A few years later, half or less the new price. At least in '94 they had the 7/115? powertrain warranty. You knew you were covered that far
