| | | Plaigarized or not, some of these are still useful entries. Perhaps simply site the source of these entries instead of outright removing them? Any rewrite done at this point will probably be a paraphrasing of what's there, which is still plaigarism...

| | | I personally would like to delete a few of mine and rename a few with a better title as I have better info on them now. When I did this somehow I read UE Data Base. My mistake bad comment. [last edit 5/17/2004 11:55 PM by Mark - edited 1 times]

| | | I removed dilapitate for the reasons ND mentioned. Most of the others have the possibility of being good quality stuff, but they just need some (a lot of) work. Please folks, when you're making encyclopedia entries, please take the time to get a meaty entry that is informative, useful, relevant, and correct or else don't do it at all. Going through and cleaning up after half-assed entries is a pain.

you should be able to edit the title of them yourself, but be careful because other entries that link to yours will then be broken and need to be changed as well. If you want to remove an entry for some reason, PM a moderator about it. edit: I just completely rewrote drain key to actually have some useful and coherent information. It used to consist of this:
if you go round popping drain lids a lot, these make it a lot easier. there are loads of different types of hole, There is the big sewage drain ones, smaller normal drain, and BT lids. See Also: Manhole Popper |

| | | Maybe something along the lines of the existing UE Encyclopaedia star should be done for those who add new information to pre-existing entries, as opposed to just 'awarding' those who write new ones. I don't know how important those stars are to people, but I wonder if we're going to end up with a culture of people posting just any old crap there to get their five entries and take possesion of the coveted (?) star, but few helping to flesh out the entries that are already there, many of which are looking rather sparse. Of course, maybe creating such a star would make things even worse as decent entries drown in a sea of bullshit tacked on to them by persons unknown in their quest for the "I edited 5 articles in the UE encyclopaedia!" star. Maybe there should be a quality assessment before articles are accepted or stars awarded, but that sounds like it could get to be a lot of work. Maybe I've just been awake too long.
