| | | Toronto June UE Meet < on 6/20/2010 3:33 PM >
| | | I hope everyone's day went well! We had great fun going to malt, although the group of police officers gave us quite the scare. Photos and group shots to come.

| | | Had a great time as well at the Regal Constellation with a couple people, including Hi-Lite, whose work I really dig. It took a bit of patience, but we got in. Looks like demolition has stopped in its tracks. More on my Flickr: http://www.flickr....72157624192347171/ 1

| | | Malt? So close to the G20? They said it couldn't be done. They were wrong. 1.
2. (ridiculous highlights)
3.
4.
5. Stalactite goo, or something more sinister...?
6. Long exposure tiem
7. And the second location, with varied amounts of success.
I'll post some truly legendary light paintings soon. After I study for exams. Excellent trip, and I must commend Acidpunk, who was practically a tour guide at malt. There's no way we could've done it without you.

| | | Great Job all! The Malt and Regal are both great places, Last time I drove by The Regal 7 weeks ago, a new security company had just taken over and beefed up the # of guards on duty. When we drove by at 11pm at night there were 4 guards on duty + guard dog with the guards, must have been they caught someone on the property and were looking for him/her? How many guards were on duty when you went yesterday?

If reg@l was a maze before, the new fences make it a labyrinth. or...an inconvenience.

| | | Just wondering what you guys are shooting with? I'm stuck with my phones camera until I upgrade.. Regal is a maze, lots of fencing and dead ends, but once in it isn't too bad to figure out.

| | | 5D MkII takes better pictures than a 1Ds MkIII. Hands down. 1D doesn't even rate.

| | | The 5d 2 vs a 1ds mk3 would be interesting, same mp but ones a pro body with way better autofocus. The new 1d iv though has insane high iso performance and i am considering one but I am leaning ff.

| | | I didn't like the 1D MkIV's pictures, otherwise it's an amazing camera... FPS is insane. But the 7D offers comparable focusing... if not better IMO. Half the price. 5D2 is a better and much newer (18mo?) sensor than the 1Ds MkIII. (I make a point of trying all the pro EOS gear. ;) (Private Message me if you want to see some of my stuff) (We're also really off topic!)
