| | | Great pics! Looks like it was a really nice theatre during it's open days. I've always had a soft spot for abandoned theatres and drive-in's, even if they are in really rough shape like this one. Anyway, thanks for sharing this. I really enjoyed checking it out.

| | | Looks like a neat place. I've always kinda wanted to go to an abandoned theater. One of the security guards at a place near me keeps promising to let me into one that's sealed up, but keeps flaking out on me. Jerk. Random, but is "Big Daddy D" at all tied with Big D and the Kids Table? (ska band for those wondering)

Nope, just a nickname.

Haha, yeah the clock is huge! Also, those papers we found in the projection rooms say the last movies that were played there (which were obviously in August of 2005, when Hurricane Katrina hit).

Am I the only one that noticed that!? It's so oddly proportionate to that room!

| | | A few of the theaters I've been to have clocks like that, in the center of the main entrance. So it didn't really strike me as odd, haha. Maybe it's a Louisiana thing?

| | | Probably more of an architect/decorator thing. They more than likely got multiple items for interior design and used them in several complexes.

I doubt it, people are horribly unobservant when it comes to things like that. Or maybe I just worked in the service industry for too long and I'm jaded...
