| | | It would be nice wouldn't it, Specially if they open up some of the military stuff that has been closed up for decades.

| | | We have 'doors open day' all over the UK. http://www.glasgowdoorsopenday.com/ (my local one, though it hasn't been the same since they dropped tours of the City Mortuary ) All it takes is for a group of liberal intellectuals to hassle City Hall to make it happen. Get to it boys!! Chris... [last edit 5/19/2010 10:58 AM by TurboZutek - edited 1 times]
We all had ostriches. My dad had an ostrich farm! I remember one day someone came in and said the high altitude bombing of Kosovo had been a limited success, so we all went out and celebrated… by killing an ostrich and boiling it in kiwi fruit. |

| | | I'm living in Toronto at the moment and planning on going next week. What Halifax buildings would you folks like included if we had something like this? Other than the obvious picks like City Hall, some Dalhousie buildings like the Arts Centre and the LSC appeal to me. Bedford institute of Oceanography, the container terminals, and the power plant would be cool too.

| | | I think the door to the under side of Grand Parade was open last year, I walked by and it seemed to be only covered by a ply wood door with a hook. There was a cop on the other side of the road unfortunately and I didn't get a chance to look inside.

| | | Thought about it a little more.. -courthouse -Fenwick tower (rooftop patio) -Westin hotel, if there's any neat old stuff up there -a tour of a working industry of some sort, like the furniture factory in Burnside, the new RIM building, or the engine plant at the airport? -the airport itself...could take a group up the old control tower, or over to a hangar or the fire station. maybe something at Shearwater? -armoury
Hey tribeachpunk, did you get my PM about the name change?

Does it have a door they can open?
|
hahaha, inside the gate, between the parade ground and the City Hall. They can open it, but we? sadly no. Unless you ask them, they might let you have a peek.
