| | Some HDR shots from the weekend. < on 5/17/2010 4:33 PM >
| | | I usually only shoot straight RAW images but I decided to shoot some HDR this weekend. I'm not one for the over processed clown vomit shit either. Comments and/or criticism please. Swizzler™ 1

| | | No clown vomit shit? I am impressed. You might want to try out lens correction, especially on #3, which is a good picture with a good subject. And what's with all these black borders everywhere?

| | | I'll give lens correction a shot on number 3. Just trying something new with the borders. Thanks for the comments. [last edit 5/17/2010 4:54 PM by swizzler - edited 1 times]

3 Exposures. I shoot with a canon 50D and set the AEB to shoot one underexposed by 2 stops, correct exposure and overexposed by 2 stops. [last edit 5/17/2010 5:41 PM by swizzler - edited 1 times]

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro

| | | I think #1 and 4 are well done. #3 doesn't seem to need it and #2 suffers from it because there's no area of absolute black to establish a baseline for contrast. Well done, better than 95% of HDR I've seen. I really dig how it brings out the reflections in 1 and 4.

| | | I'd be curious to see these compared to the "properly exposed" (according to your light meter) shots, as you have posted this in the critiques section.

Here are the exposures. Keep it mind that these are the untouched RAW files and I was using spot metering for every photo.

| | | Personally, I want to like 4 and 5, but they feel a bit overdone/too much to me. Obviously, though, others disagree so I guess take that as you will 2 is my favorite, and feels right on the money in all points - exposure, color, and general feeling to the shot.

| | | They all look successful to me. I'm not a fan of those black borders though, I think the pictures would work better without them.
