In Stanley Park there are a few things of interest to check out when the park was fortified during WW2

Prospect Point
Concrete observation towers

Siwash Rock
Concrete searchlight structure
Remains of a tree fort
Observation post

Ferguson Point (where the tea house is)
Slab for gun platform and elevator
Walls of ammo bunkers
The Tea House (formerly officers quarters)

Tennis Courts
Underground ammo bunker

Though not in Stanley Park, lets not forget Tower Beach (adjoined to Wreck Beach) there are 2 gun turret stations that were built to ward off potential attack from the Japanese during WW2.

I went for a walk down in that area after I first moved back here a couple years ago and those things puzzled me. I had NO idea what the hell they were for. I couldn't even find anything online for them for the longest time either (namely because I wasn't searching for the right thing online LOL). Its a shame that these bits of our heritage aren't preserved or more well known.

I remember walking by those once, I've wanted to poke around them ever since then.
