Just have some courtesy if you plan a event

Yeah.I know that sometimes, things are perfectly out of your control, but when you say that you are coming to something, have some patience for other people.I decided to attend the UE meet at the downtown Old Spaghetti Factory.Being fifteen minutes from the start time,me and two of my buddies waited for people to show after we asked the hostess about the meet. She told us that some guy had a table booked for us,but left and would be coming back.We waited for over a hour, but no one came.I myself, having put up a meeting, know what it is like to get all excited, then get disappointed, because no one showed, but if all it takes to get you frusterated is fifteen minutes of your life been spent waiting for people, then I don't know what you would do if things hit the fan when we are actually exploring. Not all of us live close to the downtown. Some of us are from suburbs such as Lessard, which take at least twenty minutes to get to the downtown from.

I would suggest meeting in a place that doesn't require you to have a reserved table. The bar in boston pizza seemed to work much better than the spaghetti factory. Relax have a beer and watch a game till people show up. Tell everyone to look for the blond guy wearing a red shirt or something.

Sounded pretty disorganized the way it went down.

Ive posted a pic of myself in the original thread. We hope to get a better plan this time. Things just dont work out sometimes.

My thoughts exactly.

what section of the forum was this meet-up being planned on?

I would've at least attempted to make it out if I knew about it.

I'm planning an event to be held in Jester's living room and/or garage sometime within the next 24 hours. Interested parties should be prepared for full body cavity searches before entering the residence, with any illicit materials to be confiscated and donated to The David Suzuki Foundation.

I waited and you never showed up.
