| | To The Swift < on 2/10/2010 4:49 AM >
| | | Well PK and I made a trip to the swift today and found a few things changed in the last few years since we were there. More graffiti of course and the ruins of the Prison Break series but the best or worst is the constant decay that a wonderful place like this goes thru year after year. So enjoy the pics everyone and let me know what you think

Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat. |

| | | So I've never really watched the show Prison Break but is season 3 the only one that was filmed there or was it also in previous seasons? I know season 3 for sure cuz of the case
...also is it worth watching a full season all the way through? I haven't seen a single episode so I may just look up all the scenes/episodes at swift if the show wasn't super exciting or something. If it's in all of them then I'll just pick an episode and check it out. Also not sure if I went before they used it for the set either but it definitely wasn't fully built the first time I went at least, looks much different now...here's my gallery of pics from a couple years ago if anyone wants to check them out: http://viewmorepic...46&albumId=2952266 And very nice pics btw! | | | Great set. I've wanted to visit this place for years now, but haven't been near the DFW area in quite a while.

| | | Be REALLY careful. It's not real secure (they have a new fence, but there are ways in) but where they used to just write tickets they now are making arrests. The fences and the no trespassing signs make it hard to say you just wandered in.

yep, lots of cops in the area and they seem to be more then willing to stop and check anyone one they come across. plus most of the wall is missing from the side of the plant witch makes anyone in the plant visible from the street.

| | | Yeah on my last visit back in November my friends and I had to make a stealthy escape...after we got out it turned out to be just some random guy in a white Gran Marquis or Town Car slowing down and circling to look at the building too but better safe then sorry. Also on our way out we spotted another person alone on the property in one of the set buildings and may have been talking on a cell phone I think...I think he spotted us too and decided to leave because after we saw him he didn't stay long and left right before we did I think...may of been a tagger idk. We only got through one and a half of the buildings on the property but luckily I had already been and seen the whole place before on my own. But the escape did make for some great video footage though lol...I'll have to edit and post it later when I can get around to it.

when I was doing the article on it, the owner told me that they used to just have the cops issue warnings...but they had started to make arrests instead.

| | | That seems to be the trend lately. A lot of the bigger {popular} places are starting to enforce stronger penalties. I guess too many ppl are out exploring the big locations. All the more reason to find new locations!
