| | | Avius knows more about it. It was going to be a homeland security thing, but they pulled out. It's gutted, and seems to be watched fairly closely. One research building was locked last time I was there, the rest is wide open. Not much to see, but if you're nearby give it a shot. I think it was going to be a data center. Edit2: The arc of buildings is gone. [last edit 2/3/2010 4:07 AM by AnAppleSnail - edited 2 times]

| | | Yeah, more than just the arc of buildings- about half the other buildings are gone as well. The good old Dept. of Homeland security leased it to build a huge data center and totally stripped everything that was left, and then changed their minds and set up in Texas instead, leaving this place a desolate ruin. It's big, but pretty boring. They had finished gutting it and had only barely started the remodel, so it's mostly just bare concrete and cinder block. A few interesting corners remain, and a lot of unique warning and safety plaques. Also, for some reason, one small building has been preserved from its days as a biomedical research lab, but it is maintained and locked up tight. Security patrols have stepped up in the last few months since some graff appeared on the side.
