clearly you dont remember what you wrote in your original post if you feel the need to get defensive about my position on ltb compounds. you asked for experiences/thoughts/etc, i gave you some, and you shot back with pointed questions which i answered...
Posted by oddspotSecondly, the point of LTB, or atleast in the case i was dealing with and started this thread had nothign to do with a performance increase. It was simply a different way of balancing a tire that i'd come across twice now in a short period after years of never hearing of it. Agreed on the LTB compound stuff, and the expense... but i simply used a cup of antifreeze per tire. 500ml to be more exact.... probably cost 4 bucks or so at most |
again, good for you but i didnt ask and certainly didnt expect you to justify yourself... i was responding to the subject of ltb not what oddspot the single guy chooses to do with his hummers or his customers' hummers/cobalts/priuseses/whatevers... seriously, if it feels good do it what the hell does it matter what i think. im a thousand miles away! ive got strong opinions but if you want to be right more than i do im just going to step aside and let you rip from now on and if facts are on your side then so be it. this is getting stupid... have a beer or three and if youre still mad enough to put me on blast then i probably deserve it... if not, well thank me after beer #3
I'm ignorant to the term oscillation but will do more homework on it as I run very large and heavy rims |
if we are talking about hummers then you should be fine as long as it isnt a large variation from what it was originally equipped with it is deviation from the original design that you need to be concerned with. oscillation means up and down movement. its explained further in this pdf i found yesterday im not going to bother typing out as this is already more than i was interested in typing out as it is
http://www.innovat...sWith19.5_22.5.pdf hope that answers your questions... large tires themselves arent the problem it's the effect large tires have on suspensions designed for small ones that make ltb compounds moot...
