i noticed, it gets worse when its cold, it may be my winter car, but otherwise runs so nice, my sunfire only did it after the spring broke. When it gets warmer ill take the whole strut assembly out of the sunfire. i replaced it last year and it came out of an 05. my woman is getting really discouraged. i live in the burbs, i have an 01 sunfire, and 01 cavalier (both 'stored') in various states of disassembly, a 97 grand prix and my 03 cavalier in the driveway, barely enough room for her optra

The strut bearing is one of those things that just makes noise... you can get the kit from Monroe for like $60-$97US, but what's the point... it will just clunk again when it gets cold. I drove my 98 Cavalier for years with the winter clunk... even this Beretta has the winter clunk.
