| | | Lockers or limited slip work great for tough offroad situations, but the factory usually won't install them because low speed turning, like in a tight parking lot sucks. Way to much binding and fighting between the driveline components. If you're not on top of it regarding the undercarriage, and can't tell as things start to bind up, things can get broken pretty easily.. Open rear ends are what is normally installed in rear drive vehicles, Limited slip will usually be in sport or performance cars and trucks, the rear will bind a little in tight turns, front and rear limited slip will bind and fight each other a lot, you can feel it. Lockers will fight, bind, make noise, and break shit if youre not carefull.

| | | You know of what I speak regarding the low speed, tight turn radius woggle, wobble, Whatever it's called? I don't notice it too much in low traction situations, but in hard packed dirt, or a fresh plowed parking lot. If I have to make a tight turn, and am too lazy to shift out of 4wd, my truck will do at least three woggles, and each on will require throttle input to keep things moving. Axels, transfer case, spools, hubs, all trying to see who will snap first!! Some people don't notice all this binding, I find it hard to ignore! The ford is a might brittle for 4x4 anymore.
