No go folks, not by land anyway. There is a clear trail that we found after an hour of hiking up the coast in dense brush (miserable trip), and it is blocked by "tarp city". On the trail, you will find a few property markers, so it appears that they are clearing the land for future use. They people we met stated that there has been a LOT of foot traffic across the property (presumably theirs, but they did not state it as such) and weren't too pleased with the attention. They stated the Navy was increasingly involved in affairs there and visited Saturday to "install a bigger lock" due to break-ins. One of them stated that you can get to it from the water without crossing any private property.

Now, there are no gates, no signs or anything to tell you the status of the property, but since we received "a verbal", that's good enough to keep me out.
As a further deterrent, there is a large hornets nest (marked by a teal dog leash in the branch) about 100ft South of the tarp that did swarm, stinging just about everyone. Poison Oak is thoughout the area.

Note to the admins: the people blame "the blogs" for giving out the location and are well aware of their existence. Since this is the only place I found anything like that on the Interwebz, "heads up". Isn't there a way to make the forums (or at least this thread) visible only to members or people who register?
