For the sake of avoiding ambiguity on the subject, I really have no idea what most of the machines in the Malt Plant did. I've spent just enough time in the country to vaguely identify machines whose likely purpose involved various threshings and mutilations of botanical matter but the majority of it that lacks any clear labels still leaves my feeble twenty-first-century mind reeling. This is one such beast.
