Let Me In

It was a 40 minute drive through the country when we finally arrived to the house. Smaller than what we had expected, we circled the premise a few times before finding a place in the fence to get in. We hit up the main building first. The roof was completely fallen in, but we managed to squeeze our way through to see what used to be the staircase, a kitchen, and a toilet dangling from its place on the second floor.

We went to the next house on the property, the home built in 1918 to be a general hospital. It was boarded up tight, but after we barely touched the front door, it slowly opened and we let ourselves in. The whole place gave us the creeps, and we NEVER get scared. We were met with a mattress on the floor in the first room, a kitchen in the next, and then a hallway with two staircases: one going up and one going down.

We decided to explore the rest of the first floor before deciding to go up or down. We found a beautiful ivory piano that still played, and after poking our heads in all the other rooms, we voted to go into the basement first.

We forgot our flashlights and used our phones. It was pitch black and the only way for us to see was with my camera. We found two bathtubs and a bunch of rooms, but after feeling like we were being watched, we went to the attic.

The attic was just as empty, minus a beautiful bathroom with redwood interior and a toilet. My roommate pretended to puke in the bowl, and we decided that enough was enough and headed out. The neighbors didn't bother us nor did we get in trouble with anyone. It was easy, but probably moderate any other time.
