The Austin area meet and greet event was a huge success this month. however, we did run into a bit of a snag at this location. we arrived probably around 6pm after exploring the seaholm power plant for a few hours.

it was cold, rainy and just starting to get dark as we found our way to the spot we planed to enter the building from. Cazybeast2, Nightstalker06, and I had made our way inside and there where 5-6 of us still outside when I heard and unfamiliar voice say "whats going on?" in a fairly agitated tone. those of us inside turned out our lights and started to back away from the opening but before we knew it we we're being ordered to come out by what was obviously law enforcement. luckily they let us off with a warning and they where really quite nice. they where pretty confused by the idea that a bunch of people would want to get together and take pictures of an old decrepit building, but overall it was the most pleasant interaction I've ever had with the police. one officer made the comment: "so one day you just woke up and decided: I'm going to go get in that old building and take pictures"?" it was hard to keep a straight face as I answered "well....yes, basically...".

the moral of this story is that If you do plan to check this place out, be very careful. apparently the people that live and/or work in the surrounding buildings have been told to keep an eye on this place and if they see you they will call the cops.
