Smooth Sailing 2, Close Calls 13

Since this place is now demolished, I thought it was time to finally write the thrilling story about the adventure while exploring here. To make it easier, I've made it into something that would represent a soccer-match recap so here it goes...

Smooth Sailing humiliated by Close Calls

Close Calls trashed Smooth Sailing by 10 goals on Monday night in what was truly a thrilling game! F438 chose a good parking spot hidden away from view of the main road in the first couple of minutes, however this was called off as goal for Smooth Sailing in the 89th minute. The excitment all started in 3rd minute when F438 chose to get through the fence line at the most visible and most difficult portion. He then heard the sound of metals falling to the ground* (0-1) but at last he was in and was walking towards the half demolished abandoned building. It was a dusky night and the sun was slowly but surely beginning to set. It was then in the 5th minute that F438 just realized his only flashlight was dead* (0-2). Frusturated at this, F438 tried to make the best of the dying daylight and entered the building to explore. Everything took a turn for the worse in the 37th minute when F438 entered the former cell phone provider portion of the strip mall and saw a whole bunch of cell phone parts laying on the desk. F438 saw a ziplock bag with what appeared to be part of a phone and so he decided that since the place was getting demolished, there was no harm in taking a souvenior* (0-3) [Picture 20 of 24 in gallery]. While turning around he saw the dark stairway leading to the second floor and decided to go up. F438 only then in the 38th minute realized it was much darker on the second floor than he originally anticipated and he had no flashlight* (0-4). To add insult to injury, in the 40th minute, F438 realized he was directly above where the first floor was demolished, as he felt a semi-truck fly by on the main road and give the building a good shake* (0-5). F438 turned around and bolted down the stairs. He took a couple of minutes to gather his thoughts but was hit by another shock just on the brink of half-time in the 45th minute when he realized that ironically, he was missing his cell phone* (0-6). Going into half-time with no flash light and no life-line to the outside world, F438 was distraught at the fact of Close Calls winning against Smooth Sailing. However, F438 kept on going like a trooper. The game slowed down a bit until the 70th minute when F438 decided that it didn't feel right taking something that wasn't his from a half-demolished building so he decided to return it. This would turn out to be a vital action further on BUT, at the same moment F438 placed the part back, he froze in fear when he saw what looked like a ghost car driving by on the main road and two guys on the sidewalk snapping their heads to their right side as if they hadn't JUST seen him* (0-7). F438 then decided to try and look for his cell phone in his car. A double shocker came in the 75th and 77th minutes respectively when, F438 realized the fence was WIDE OPEN 20 meters from where he parked his vehicle* (0-8) as opposed to across the lot, where he entered* (0-9). Cell phone was not found in the car in the 80th minute* (0-10) so it was back inside the compound. By now, the frusturation was growing and it was very clear. F438 searched the whole building one more time and found nothing. He then decided to try and look for the cell phone around his entrance point. It was the 85th minute when two dudes on bicycles rode by the compound and clearly saw F438, so he became exposed once again* (0-11) however, nothing was said. An absolutely amazing turn of events happen in the 87th minute when F438 walked to the fence line where he entered and realized the sound of metals falling down was indeed his cell phone faliing to the ground! F438 quickly put the battery back into the phone, put the back cover on, turned in on and punch in a 4-digit code which confirmed he had finally found his cell phone and gained a somewhat late conselation goal* (1-11). As this was happening, a car drove right by the fence line on the other side and once again exposed F438* (1-12) but nothing was said. F438 then headed straight out of the compound and into his car. With the turn of a key, the engine came to life. F438 didn't think anything else could possibly happen against the Smooth Sailing team. After all, he parked ligitimely behind the active strip mall that looked exactly like the one getting demolisbed beside it. F438 turned the car around and headed to the front of the buiilding in order to get on the main street. As F438 turned the corner in the 89th minute, a mobile security guard was JUST getting out of his vehicle to conduct a foot patrol on the active strip mall who's car F438 was JUST parked behind* (1-13). Neither F438 or the security guard paid much attention to one another. However, with both front windows down, the sunroof open, Du Hast blaring from the radio, the Deutschland flag proudly flopping from the car window after Deutschland's impressive win over Australia AND a green light, F438 decided to get on the main road and hit the gas in the 90th minute with a final sigh of relief of a late conselation escape* (2-13) and to forget about an exhausting night!
